My Head Hurts

Wow if someone would have told me how hard being a Mom of 3 was I probably would have never believed them. Why is it that being a Mom 24/7 makes you feel like you are failing every day?

I have No time..I mean NO time. I am always behind on Laundry,Housework,Summer Reading sight words with my 6 year old,everything.

Everyone tells me that I need to go out and do something for myself, and I did go see a play with one of my dear friends .. We stayed out pretty late and ya know what I am still recovering from being out. I am more sleep deprived,I am behind on laundry and the grocery shopping day was off. I am Constantly trying to catch up,it was fun going out ,but was it worth it? All the stress when I get back home?

My life is not about me or my needs ..It does not matter if I enjoy what I am eating for Dinner or weather or not I even sit down for a meal. I am just barely making it every day . It does not matter what I want to do,it's what needs to be done and what my children Need. I go take my children to places that they will have fun at (Kids Museum,Zoo,) even if it means total chaos. Life right not is not about me enjoying a leisurely walk through the Zoo looking at the animals and reading their stats..Its making it through the Zoo ..making sure everyone one eats and stays hydrated then loading up all the gear and un -loading.

do NOT get me wrong I would not change having 3 Kids for the world...just tell me when will this get easier? Thank You for reading my vent and keep me in your prayers ,because I am barely treading water right now!

Happy 9 Month's to my Princess Rowan

Princess Ro Ro it is so hard for me to believe that you are 9 months old already. It really goes by so fast. You are my last Baby..I am treasuring every little thing.

I ordered you a wall sticker for above your closet Door. It says that:

"you are a beautiful dream come true"

I always dreamed of having a Little Girl. I knew in my heart that God would bless me with a Daughter.

Where have I been? What's been going on?

Well once again I have been ignoring my Blog and tending to my family. I know I am doing the right thing and putting my time where it need to be,but part of me would Love to have time to blog.

Monkey boy Graduated from Kindergarten and will be starting 1st grade .Wow Time Flys. He will be starting Sports Camp this Summer and we signed him up for Boy Scouts..

Princess has only had 1 treatment on her port wine Stain and we plan to do another one sometime after the 4th of July. She has taken forever to heal completely. She is getting so big ..She will be 8 Months on June 13... Where does the Time go? She is Rolling all over the place. I wonder if She will ever crawl,or just go strait to walking?

Lil Worm is in his terrific 2's....He is still climbing on everything and this kid has no fear..He can Climb up on to the top of his Brothers Bunk bed with out a ladder...He's a Little Spider man...Keeps this Mama so busy.

Wile I have been away from my Blog we all had a virus and then we went to Disney World..(Go Ahead call me crazy taking a 6 year old a 25 month old and a 6 Month old to Disney) It was crazy. We had fun,but that was soon interrupted when Little Worm had a Febrile Seizure and ended up in the emergency room in Florida. That was the scariest thing that has ever Happened to one of my Children and Me. I will blog about that later (hopefully) Then we got home and all recovered from the vacation and wouldn't ya know it we all got sick again. Little Worm had Croup..That's not fun either. Monkey boy just got a cold and Princess is still on antibiotic for a Double Ear infection. I pray that we will be done with the Sickies for this Summer.

So anyway I do not know how all you Mamas do it? Raise a Family and still have time to blog..Wish I could get better at keeping my blog, Most Days I do not even sit down to eat Breakfast or Lunch..It is so busy around here,and by the time everyone is asleep my Mommy Brain no Longer works to think to write:(

I Hate The Virus!

Why is it always the Middle of the night for the 102.6 Temp? My Poor Lil Worm is sick with some sort of Virus that has to run it's coarse. That's What the pediatrician Said. Of coarse I would like it if my Children never got sick,but why is it almost always a Virus. You may not agree with me,but I would much rather take some sort of Antibiotic and see my child on the road to recovery in 2 days than..... Nothing with days of prolonged vomiting and fevers.

Anyway Hope He is over this Quickly and that No-one else in the Family gets it!

And A Little Boy Turned 2

It's Hard to Believe that my 2ND son turned 2 Feb 28Th. Of coarse I am late with His Birthday Post. I just cannot seam to find any time to Blog.

Anyway Little Worm Had a Great Birthday Party . It was very small and just Family and......It was Perfect.

Princess RoRo

With Princess's type of Birthmark (Port wine Stain) there is a chance that one could have Sturge Weber Syndrome.

When you have Sturge Weber you have a Birthmark on your Brain as well as your face. We were referred to a Neurologist and he wanted Her to have a MRI to be absolutely sure she did not have a Birthmark on her Brain. If one has the Birthmark on your Brain it can cause seizures.

Well This past Tuesday was her apt downtown at a Children's Hospital for a MRI. She could not have any Breast Milk past 3:00 am. So I set my alarm clock and woke her up to feed her at 2:45.

My Husband was the one to take her to her apt. We had no one to watch the other 2 Boys and since we Both could not be there. He was the Man for the job. I am so not good in these situations. He is much better.

My Husband and my Daughter left the house at 5:45 am to get to the Hospital by their 7 am apt. I was texting my Husband the entire time.

At 9:00 am He texted me the "He could use a beer" of coarse he did not have one just just how stressed it was for the Hospital to give her the Anesthesia . I guess it took many tried for them to get a good vein.

When everything was said and done my Husband had to give her a Bottle before they could leave..(good thing she takes the bottle like a champ)

When She came home the Hospital said that She would Probably sleep for about 5 hours strait.

She Pretty much did. I just Held her as Much as I could and was so Happy that She was Home and that in a few short Days we would have closure on weather or not She had Sturge Weber Syndrome.

Wednesday came and went and we still had not herd the Results, so on Thursday Morning I called the Neurologist Nurse and left Her a message basically saying that If it was your Daughter you would want to know as soon as possible. Wouldn't ya know they called us back with in 20 Min and told us the GREAT news that She does Not have her Birthmark on her Brain!

I am eternally Grateful for this answered Prayer and Now we can begin laser treatments to diminish Princess RoRo's Birthmark...Her 1st Laser surgery is scheduled for March 11 and Both my Husband and I will be there with Her!

Lil worm has found a new Love.... Coloring. I actually tape the paper to my table because he cannot keep the book from rolling around on him. He is going to be 2 at on Feb 28Th. I cannot believe how fast he has grown! It's fun to see him start to like Crayons and PlayDoh.

He is also wearing his older Brothers Dumbo PJ's. I hope Princess Ro Ro can wear them too! They are one of MY favorite pairs. Am I the only one who gets all nostalgic over a hand me down pair of PJ's?

Sometimes all you need is a little Fluffy Dust!!

Princess has out grown out of a lot of her Newborn stash and I am trying to add more one size pockets to her stash. Sometimes all you need is New Fluff to make you fall in Love with Cloth Diapering Again.

Let me be honest with you 2 in Cloth Diapers was a lot more Laundry than I ever anticipated. I actually took a Cloth Diaper Break because I was so overwhelmed with everything. However I feel that there are so many benefits to Cloth Diapering that I could never stop for good. Look at these colors Princess got 2 Fuzzi Bunz in Crushed Berries and Cotton Candy. I also picked up a Lavender Thirsties Duo size 2 Diaper Cover (this is my favorite Brand of cover). Happy to say that both my Babies are Rockin the Cloth!

Happy Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day I always give my Children a little gift from Mommy and Daddy because I tell them "It's I LOVE You Day" I am excited for my Monkey Boy and Little Worm to wake up and see their little gifts. Who wouldn't want to start the day opening a gift?

Monkey Boy got a Mario Shirt that he was begging me for about 3 weeks ago from Target and I did not buy it for him on that day,and Lil Worm got a Mr Potato Head!

Baby girl got a Valentine's day outfit on Clearance for 7 dollars from Babies R Us, I figured that was a great price for a 1 day Outfit!!

Port Wine stain Birthmark

Being a Mom is so difficult sometimes. You love your Children more than they will ever know and you have to take care of them every second of the day. They drain you mentally ,physically and emotionally.

My Daughter was born with a Large birthmark on her face. This type of Birthmark is called a Port wine Stain. From what I am learning about this type of Birthmark is that it developed in the 1st trimester of my pregnancy and there is nothing I did to cause it. It can come with complications such as Glaucoma or Serge Weber Syndrome. Glaucoma can lead to blindness and Serge Weber Syndrome causes seizures. So far with our Daughter it is just a Port Wine Stain Birthmark. I pray quite often that it will continue to be "just a birthmark"

We have already been to a pediatric optometrist,a neurologist and a pediatric dermatologist. We have been told to get a MRI scan done to rule out the serge Weber syndrome. They will have to put my baby under anaesthetic to do this. We are being referred to another pediatric eye Dr. because the Neurologist we saw recommended a Better one.

The Pediatric dermatologist has informed us that we can go ahead and do Laser Surgery to reduce the redness of her Birthmark. It will never fully disappear,but it will diminish drastically with a series of these procedures.

What am I feeling?

Overwhelmed ,Sadness, Confusion over everything..........Angry and Hurt that my precious Baby has to go through all of this, Concerned in my head about weather or not we are making the best possible decision for her and the rest of her life.

I will continue to Pray for answers and peace in my heart.... as I know that God gave ME this Gorgeous Little Girl whom I Love so very much.

Mommy son Date Night!!

I have 3 Children and my oldest son is 6 years old. There is a 4 year difference between him and his Brother and Baby Girl is almost 4 months. I find that I am very busy with the little ones all day long and sometimes feel that I do not have time during the day to spend as much quality time with him as I would like. This is why we do "Date Night". I left the babies home with Daddy and took my Son Bumper Bowling with my Girlfriend and her Son. We had a Blast ate Pizza and spent some great quality one -on -one time together. We have done many things together on our "Dates". Movies, Ice cream&the park, Paint your own pottery are just some of our dates. I hope my oldest son realizes how Important he is to me and how Much these Date Nights are as much for Me as it is For Him!

Blizzard of 2011

On Tuesday night Chicago and the Suburbs Surrounding got hit with a Huge Blizzard. Some People are saying 18 inches of Snow. On Tuesday Night my Husband left work at 2:30 pm and what normally takes him a 1hr to get home took him 4.5 hrs. I was happy to have him home and safe. Nobody went to work on Wednesday and Monkey Boy is on his 2ND snow Day home from School. I got a much needed nap in on Wednesday,but my Husband is back at work today so no more naps for me. The Boys had a Blast playing in the Fresh Snow on Wednesday Morning. Little Worm is almost 2 and this was his 1st time in Lots of snow. He was super upset when it was time to come in. Poor Little Guy!!

Trying to Escape !

Trying to get out of the House in Winter with 3 small Children is alot harder than one might think. Sometimes I just get Stir Crazy and want to window shop especially in January. I took this picture when I was trying to get to Babies R Us to use some Great Coupons that I had.

Anyway the Sun the Stars and the Moon were in alignment and I somehow had Both my 23 Month old and the 3 month old sleeping at the same time..... and I was able to get a shower in so I thought it would be a good opportunity to get out.

After I got myself ready I started to pack. I just prepared everything on the table so after all the Little's woke up we could eat and go.

What I packed :

1 bottle of expressed Breast Milk

1Sippy cup of Juice

1Big Boy cup of Juice

1 Bottled water for me

1 Burp Cloth

4 Diapers (2 diapers for each)

countleess # of wipes

1 complete outfit change for Baby Girl

1 shirt change for Baby Boy

2 snacks( Mini Marshmallows work wonders)

1 wallet,keys

1 Bunting

2 winter Coats

3 hats

2 sets of gloves

After I got everything ready I looked at my Kitchen tabe and decided to take a picture.....Because Someday I will miss all of this and I want to remember all of the chaos involved in order to get out of the house with 3 young kids:)

It's Been Busy!

I feel Kinda bad that I have been to busy to Blog. Kinda being the most Important word. You see I have been living life :) Enjoying my new Baby Girl, and all that comes with adjusting to a family of 5. Princess was born on Oct 13. I had my 3rd C- Section. We came home to Halloween,Thanksgiving ,Christmas and New Years. It has been so busy !

In the 3 short Months she has been part of our Family I have had Bronchitis and the entire Family except Princess got a Stomach bug. Princess Ro Ro had her 1st Ear Infection.

We have had countless Dr apt's for our family. Well check visits as well as Specialist apt's for Princess Ro Ro's Port Wine Stain Birthmark.

I have missed Blogging, but as some of you might understand once you have been gone for so long it's kinda hard to get back in the swing of things. Well I'm back and ready to keep making bloggy friends on this Wonderful Journey of Motherhood.
