Frustration !!!

Let the new year begin. Ugg ! Do you ever get so aggravated and frustrated with your Husband over over petty things? Whenever I come home from a store my husband immediately starts panicking at the sight of how many grocery bags I have. Weather it be a grocery shopping trip, or a run to Babies R Us for things we need he cannot stand to see so many bags. He immediately starts looking through the bags to see what I purchased. He starts seeing dollar signs. Even If what I purchased was cost efficient. I myself cannot stand the fact that they put 3 things in a bag. This is just one of those things that frustrates my marriage. We have been together since we were 16 years old. We have been married for 6 years. I am now 32. You think I would be use to this. I guess I have to learn how to live with this since he will not change. Tell me what does your significant other do that drives you crazy?

I understand! Do you use reusable bags? Those fit a lot more in them so it won't look like you have bought so much. When you get home from shopping, brag about all the great deals you got and how much $ you saved on stuff you were going to buy anyway. That way he can start looking at what you buy as saving money instead of spending it!

My husband never puts anything up. If I as him to do something for me it takes using 3 or 4 tools to get it done and when he is through he just leaves the tools sitting out wherever instead of putting them back where they live. The other day he left a screwdriver on the coffee table in the living room while the baby was in there watching tv alone!!! Oh, I was so mad but I hate yelling at him about it all the time because I feel like I treat him like my child sometimes and I don't want to be like that. KWIM? But I did have to be tough with him on that one.
It doesn't stop with tools. When he makes something to eat for himself he leaves everything from the fridge out on the counter.
I can't be that mad at him because eventually he will pick his dishes up and bring them to the kitchen. Got to love those men!

I totally understand your frustration w/ 3 things in a bag - I cannot stand that! It's funny though - I think I am more like your husband!!! Even when I do the shopping (or when my hubby comes home from the store) I panic when I see all the bags and start to figure out if there is anything I can return. My husband thinks I'm crazy sometimes - oh well!!

Oh I could give you a list of things that would go and on and on, trust me. There are a lot of things that drive me crazy about Tim but then I try to remind myself that there are plenty of things about me that drive him nuts.

I say you schedule a specific time for him to go to the store and buy the groceries himself so he can see for himself where all the bags come from. Make up a specific shopping list before hand so he can see that they're all essentials and then count the bags together when he gets home.

You might even want to go with him just to make sure he doesn't do any convenient bag-consolidation on the way home and walk through the door with three bags overflowing with fifty items each. He's a sneaky one, that husband of yours!
