What do you use for Night Time ? ...A Cry Out For Help !

I would really like to be able to Cloth Diaper Lil Worm at night again. When he was under 6 months old I used Bum Genius with 2 microfiber inserts and this did the trick for me. Then all of a sudden Lil worm started to leak right through those Diapers at night. I also thought he was waking up at night because he did not like being wet. I would change him and get him back to sleep. I do have disposable Diapers in the house in case we have a baby sitter or even Grandma who has a hard time with the cloth. I started to use them at night! Ugggg! I feel like I'm wasting so much money. I was tired of changing the crib sheets , Pajamas, & a new Diaper at 3 A.M. Anyone who does Cloth Diaper knows how annoying Disposable diapers are after you have tried Cloth. I would LOVE to know what has worked for your Heavy Wetters at night. Please Please Give me some ideas. I do not want to buy all sorts of covers if they are not going to work. Thanks Mama's for your advice!

Well, I use BG 3.0 with 3 inserts: one size, newborn and a microfiber towel I bought on sale at walgreens. He can go 10+ hours on it with no leaks. Oh, and I use a microfleece liner, too.

Good luck!

Hey Mama, I was able to use the Thirsties Duo Wrap, works perfectly and did find the BG 3.0 w/2 inserts work great for her too!

The five to six months time is the worst for using BGs as this is the time the child is drinking so much milk before they are weaned. I recommend using bamboo boosters rather than the usual microfibre ones and also a medium Bummis wrap over the top of the BG for night. This seems to work for all our customers. :-) Hope this helps, Kat

I have no experience with cloth diapers but I can see how this would be frustrating for you.

Do you read Morgan's blog - Adventures in Diapering? If not, she'd be a good person to ask about this. She uses cloth diapers and she'd probably be able to help you!! The link to her blog is..

I have used all sorts of things, but what I like best is a cloth fitted diaper with a wool cover. The wool won't let anything leak through! I always add an extra insert and that will do the trick. Try Sustainablebabyish or what I did was make some of my own.

Otherwise if I"m not using wool what works really well for us is Bum Genius Organic with an extra hemp insert that I found on Cotton Babies website. The insert is really absorbent and we rarely ever have an issue!

Best of luck!

Hi,

It's Sherri from Cutie Poops and Bottoms. I would recommend trying a TIAN by BSRB. TIAN is short for Tucked In All Night, and BSRB is Bagshot Row Bamboo. They get RAVE RAVE reviews online. Very hard to get though, as she stocks on Thursday I believe and her site is well stalked! I have 2 left in my store if you are interested!
