Sleep Training my 4 year old !!!

So Monkey boy sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night and comes into our bedroom and wants to sleep with us. The problem is that when he sleeps he is like the ticking arms of a clock he starts out at noon and ends up at 3:45 . We only have a queen bed. Sometimes Lil worm ends up in our bed too so there isn't any room . We came up with a "Sleep In Your Bed Chart" and after he sleeps in his bed the entire night he gets to put a sticker on the chart. When he fills the chart full he wins a trip to the dollar store to pick out a toy. This chart had 5 boxes but the next chart will have 8 boxes and we will keep adding boxes to make it more of a challenge for him. If he decides he can't sleep in his bed for whatever reason we let him sleep on the floor next to us. Seriously there is no room in the bed! This way he still feels safe and comfortable . If he comes down to our room I remind him that if he goes back in his room he gets a sticker in the morning ,but he can always sleep with us if he needs too. Hopefully this will soon be a thing of the past very soon. These are pictures I took of him in the morning when I woke up to find him practically sleeping under our bed. Tell me what to you do with your night visitors ?

Hello! Thanks so much for visiting my blog http://raisingmy4sons.com
I am now following your lovely blog. :)

That is such a sweet photo. I have had little ones do the same thing. I actually have a baby bed (an old time crib with low rails (kinda like a co-sleeper but wooden) next to my bed that my 16 month old sleeps in and when he climbs into our bed in the middle of the night if one of the other boys comes in there definitely insn't room in my bed, however sometimes they will climb into the baby bed when it's not occupied.

That's such a good idea! I like how you are rewarding him instead of punishing him. My boy is still too little to try to get in our bed but I'm sure it will happen one day!
