Happy Birthday Lil Worm!

Happy Birthday to you Lil Worm . It is so hard for me to believe that you are One. It seams like just yesterday I held you in my arms for the fist time. You had such tiny features and you looked at me and I was instantly in love. You are such a personality. You are a Snuggle Buddy,and a Mama's Boy. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am truly blessed to be your Mother. I enjoy watching you grow up before my eyes. Watching you experience the world through your Innocent baby eyes is pure enjoyment for me. At one years old you can take four independent steps. You say MaMa,DaDa, Uhh-O,&All Done! You finally sleep through the night. Mama Thanks you for that! Happy Birthday to my Baby Boy!

I Promise I Have A Good Excuse!

Wow I have Been Gone for about a week. So Busy! I Promise I have a real good reason that I have been gone and will be sharing it with everyone real soon:) My Lil Worm is recovering from his Cold. It has been going on forever. No Fever Just Runny Nose and a Cough. This has him not sleeping through the night,thus I am not sleeping very well. I have been working my normal 20 hours a week. I also have been very busy with volunteering for Monkey Boys Preschool. Sometimes I wish I could say No,but I always offer to help with things. I am also busy Planing my Lil Worms 1st Birthday Party. That is Pretty Much what I have been up too! I am still here ! I hope to be able to have more time to do some more blogging real soon. How I love Blogging, and just wish I could make more time for it in my day:)

Nothin says.... I Love You !! Better Than .....

A new Kitchen floor ! When we moved into this house we knew that we wanted to redo the Kitchen floor. Not only was it ugly,but it was so worn out with huge dents and scratches. I asked my Husband if he could have the floor done by Lil Worms 1st Birthday Party. His Party is on February 28. He replied Maybe. I was so Happy that on Valentines day he decided it was time to install the floor. We have most of the floor done. The Baseboards and trim will be done this weekend. It was a all day instillation. I am beyond Happy with they way it turned out. What a great Valentines day this one turned out to be!

I amaze myself

I am often amazed at how well I can function when I get a total of 4 or 5 hours of interrupted sleep. Lil Worm has been sleeping through the night for like 2 months now. Meaning that I put him to bed around 7:30 and he sleeps til 6:30 or 7 . Yaaaa . Felt so good to be a normal sleeping human being again since his birth:) Now he is fighting a cold. Friday Night he was up at 8pm,12pm,3am,4am , and now we are awake for the day at 6am. Wow Its going to be one of those days where I need a lot of coffee. I start work today at 9:30 am need to leave by 8:30 am. Probably when he is ready for his 1st nap of the day. I teach dance to little girls age 3 -10 today. I hope I will get a nap in when I get home. Before I had kids there was now way I could even function with out 7 hours of strait sleep. Wow... it's funny how after you have kids your life changes in so many ways and how you can function with like 4 hours of total sleep.

Lil worm is Sick

Lil Worm is not feeling so good. I am taking him to a Dr Apt later today to see whats going on. He has a wet sounding cough and a stuffy- runny nose. He has not developed a fever and he seems to be eating well. Sometimes It's so frustrating when your child gets sick . I have often taken my children to the Dr. at the 1st sign of a cold and the Dr has sent me home telling me to wait it out. I almost always am back in the office about 5 days later. Maybe because this is my 2nd baby I now wait a little bit and do not rush to a Dr apt as soon as I use too. (Unless we have real bad symptoms) I am now waiting for the office to open so I can call and make a apt. I really hope this awful cough will go away with some kind of prescription. I hate to see my Baby Sick. Hopefully this cold will be over soon.

Tongue Tied

Lil Worm was born with a condition known as Tongue Tied. It is where the little flap of skin that is underneath your tongue is not long enough to fully stick out . This could cause feeding issues,and speech issues. My pediatrician refereed up to a E. N. T. Surgeon to correct this condition. I have been putting off going for quite some time now. I finally had to make the apt. The pediatrician thought it would be best to correct this before Lil Worm turned 1. I went to the apt by myself. My girlfriend was watching Monkey boy&my Husband could not take the time off of work. The procedure it self would consist of cutting the skin under the tongue to allow for proper tongue movement. When the E.N.T. looked at Lil Worms tongue he told me that his case of tongue tie was so minor that it was up to me weather or not I wanted it done. He said that in his opinion it was not medically necessary and would diffidently not cause feeding problems . He said it looked so slight that he didn't think it would cause speech problems either. He could not put it in writing ,but his tongue tie was very slight. It was one of the greatest days in my life. I was so happy to know that I did not have to put my son through that surgery.

UMMMM Cheese Please.

Recently I gave Lil Worm some shredded Mozzarella cheese. I have not given it to him sooner because I feel he is a little lactose intolerant. However I decided it would be a good night to try. He Loved it! Could not get enough! However he was up a lot that night and had real loose stools the next day. I believe I am right on with the Lactose sensitive part. He had so much fun eating the Cheese too bad I will have to really Limit it in the Future.

The Baby Barricad

We are shopping around for a large baby gate to keep Lil worm out of the Kitchen. The Opening is 63 inches. I am having a hard time picking out the perfect gate. Lil Worm is a fast little guy,but the Kitchen is off limits. Way to dangerous in there for him . Today he kept going in there wile we were in the living room so I barricaded the opening with many of his toys and a Kitchen chair. It works for now, but I really have to finalize my gate options and make a choice. Most Large opening baby gates are rather pricey and I do not want to regret my purchase. Anyone have a gate brand that they love?

Old Mac Donald Had A Duck !!

My Lil Worm loves his Rubber Duckie Toy. This is a non toxic bathtub Duck that is no longer in the Tub. Lately he has been using it like a pacifier. I think he actually likes it better than his Binky. This crazy little boy will take it everywhere with him.
